Apt Resources, a leading recruitment company, is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics assistant to join the team of one of their clients. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods from one location to another. As part of the shipping and logistics team, you will play a vital role in meeting the needs of our clients and ensuring their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track the movement of goods, both domestically and internationally
• Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure all shipments are picked up and delivered on time
• Create and maintain spreadsheets and other documents to track inventory and shipments
• Prepare shipping documents and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues or concerns
• Assist with physical inventory and audits as needed
• Use software programs to monitor shipment progress and provide reports to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping or supply chain management preferred
• Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping a plus
• Knowledge of SAP is important
