About the job

I’m currently hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer who will be based in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis but will be deployed internationally for 4-6 months at a time on a project which is likely to last 12-18 months.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web-based security by Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses

• Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS

Practical knowledge of AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.

Develop and implement security policies and procedures

Robust micro services programming (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.)

Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications and ample experience in high level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic

Capability architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.

DevOps know-how and Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure that security is integrated into our development process

building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment, build and test automation technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, docker, jenkins, etc.

Familiarity using AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53, etc.)

Understanding of complex enterprise environments and current technology areas like cloud and mobility

Collect and report on Cyber Security operational metrics for application and infrastructure engineering teams.

Serve as a key technical security partner for engineering teams.

Coordinate with developers, cloud platform engineers, the business, and cloud service providers on security framework design requirements for cloud application services.

Research Cyber Security trends and emerging technologies, identify our business and technical requirements, perform technical evaluation and support deployment of Cyber Security solutions.

ISO27001 experience, helping our client protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their information assets by establishing a framework for identifying and managing information security risks.

Requirements:

Thorough understanding of network defense technologies, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network security monitoring tools, secure engineering principles and technical security testing.

CISSP or equivalent security-related industry certifications and AWS Associate or higher Certification

Must have industrial certifications including CISA, GSEC, and CEH to tackle the cyber security issues also desirable

Knowledge and experience in handling security systems, networking devices, and related platforms to maintain overall cyber security.

Programming and scripting experience to develop cybersecurity solutions according to organizational requirements.

Huawei experience or qualification in Huawei is a must.
