About the job

Role description

• As a senior member of the team you will be designing, improving, and securing the overall data infrastructure and products
• Develop ETL/ELT and data ingest/modeling/storage best practices, focus on automation, and overall strengthen the data practice
• Write the SQL scripts/Python code with proper documentation that meets our standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
• Collaborate with other data teams like Analytics/ML to support and maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as data engineer in cloud environment (preferably AWS) – Proficient in Data Stack like S3, EC2, Lambda, Athena, Glue,Redshift,Sage-maker etc. and familiar with basics like IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, etc.
• Experience with Python – Proficient in scripting and familiar with OOP. Should be familiar with Airflow(Architecture and Development)
• Experience with SQL – Proficient in SQL-based ELT and debugging pipeline issues
• Experience with Data Modeling – Physical and logical data modeling for Data Lake and Warehouse
• Experience with Data Pipelines – Design and implement both batch and stream pipelines in a cloud environment
• Experience with MLOps – Deploying and monitoring ML models
• Familiar with basic software engineering tools like Git, Docker, basics of CI/CD etc.
• Familiar with Data Lineage/Catalog tools and concepts and opensource tools.
