Job Description:

As a Field Officer specializing in Data Management with a focus on Technical/Transport aspects, your primary role will involve collecting, organizing, and managing data related to technical and transportation operations. Your proficiency in MS Excel and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and generating insightful reports. You will work closely with technical teams, logistics personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient data collection and analysis. This position requires a solid understanding of technical operations and transportation processes, along with strong data management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical teams and logistics personnel to identify relevant data points for collection and analysis.
• Conduct field visits to various project sites, manufacturing facilities, or transportation hubs to collect data on technical operations and transportation activities.
• Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to accurately record and organize collected data.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive databases using MS Excel or other data management software, including information on technical equipment, maintenance schedules, transportation routes, fuel consumption, and other relevant metrics.
• Analyse collected data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement in technical and transportation operations.
• Prepare reports, charts, and presentations summarizing the analysed data for stakeholders, management, and external partners.
• Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize technical processes, streamline transportation operations, and reduce costs.
• Stay up to date with advancements in data management and relevant technologies to enhance data collection methods and techniques.
• Train and educate field staff and project personnel on proper data collection procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data management, preferably in a technical or transportation context.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant data management tools.
• Solid understanding of technical operations and transportation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to travel to various locations for field visits.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software and techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards is desirable.
