Job Title: Chief Accountant – Real Estate Department: Finance Reports to Finance Director/ Finance Controller

• Responsible for Revenue process to ensure timely recognition, accuracy and completeness of revenue from real estate operations.
• Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Monitoring of receivables collection status on regular basis and follow up on the instances of delay in collections.
• Manage financial transactions, including vendor payments, lease agreements, and property-related expenses.
• Coordinate with external auditors for the completion of financial audits.
• Preparation of information required for the direct and indirect tax filings

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for real estate properties.
• Responsible for the timely closure of books on monthly basis and preparation of MIS reporting to the management
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS framework for management and external stakeholders.
• Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance tracking to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making processes and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts for real estate properties.
• Collaborate with property managers and other departments to gather financial information for budgeting purposes.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts on regular basis

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant
• 3 to 6 years of experience in real estate finance operations.
• Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
